Following on from the success of the 2009 Europeans – Liepaja, Latvia, is hosting the 2010 Raceboard Worlds. Liepaja is known throughout Latvia as “the city where the wind is born”, possibly because of the constant sea breeze.[more]
Liepaja encourages tourism, the main attraction being pristine Blue Flag beach with white sand and rolling dunes, but it also offers number of historical sites including the ruins of military fortifications from the times of the Russian Empire.
With plenty of restaurants, bars and nightclubs there is no shortage of evening entertainment available. Liepaja is often called the capital of Latvian rock music. Many famous composers and bands have been inspired by Liepaja. In the very heart of Liepaja you can find the 1st Latvian Rock Cafe and Latvian Musician’s Walk of Fame.
The organisers are looking forward to welcoming competitors and supporters to Liepaja from 13th to 19th June.
On 7th of June in the capital Riga will be an official press conference for this event.
