The Club de Vela Blanes, founded in 1943, has evolved to become one of the most important nautical centres on the Costa Brava and is well practised in hosting major regattas.
Almost a 100 competitors from 16 countries/4 continents have pre-registered already. Naturally the largest contingent is from the host country, Spain, but at least a dozen Argentinians are making the long journey along with a couple of Brazilians plus 6 from Australia and a Canadian, joining another eleven countries from Europe hoping to bag some trophies.
