Twice Raceboard World Champion, Max Wojcik POL-7, is hoping to retain his title for the third year running at Club de Vela Blanes next month.  He thrashed the competition in the Czech Republic last year [more]ending the competition with a perfect score – a repeat performance of his win in Finland in 2012.

However, Max is not totally invincible.  He was soundly beaten by fellow countryman Pawel Gardasiewicz at the recent European Championships in Sopot, Poland and only three points ahead of former World Champion Patrik Pollak from Slovakia so we look forward to some interesting battles on the race course on the Costa Brava.

During 20 years of sailing, Max has spent most of his time in the Olympic class but prefers the atmosphere and true spirit of windsurfing he experiences in other windsurfing classes – the community and fun on the beach, enjoying himself in the company of others and spending only 50% of the time racing rather than the 100% dedication required for Olympic windsurfing competition.

Check out this beach interview with Max after he also won the Kona One European title last year.  He only won 2 of the 10 races in total but maintained a consistently high level throughout against tough competition.
