The 2026 Raceboard Masters World Championships came to a memorable conclusion in Balatonvilágos, Hungary, with a spectacular final day of strong winds providing a fitting finish to five days of outstanding racing and camaraderie.

Organised by the Hungarian Windsurfing Association on the shores of Lake Balaton, the championship brought together 34 competitors from across Europe and as far afield as Australia, demonstrating the truly international appeal of Masters Raceboard racing. Over the course of twelve races, sailors faced a wide range of conditions, culminating in exhilarating high-wind competition on the final day.

Adding to the excitement, the closing day was broadcast live through Telekom Live, allowing Raceboard enthusiasts around the world to follow the action from Hungary.

Poland’s Maksymilian Wójcik delivered a dominant performance throughout the championship to secure the Overall title and become the 2026 Raceboard Masters World Champion. Winning ten of the twelve races counted towards the series, Wójcik finished comfortably ahead of Slovakia’s Patrik Pollak and Czech sailor Radim Kamenský.

In the Women’s division, Australia’s Lissa McMillan claimed the World Championship title ahead of Hungary’s Monika Vertesy and Luca Gadorfalfi.

The championship also crowned winners across the various Masters age and weight categories, reflecting the diversity and longevity of participation that make Raceboard racing unique. From Senior Plus competitors to Super Legends, sailors demonstrated that competitive windsurfing remains alive and thriving across generations.

Beyond the racing, the event will be remembered for its exceptional atmosphere, warm hospitality and the friendships that continue to define the Masters community. The Hungarian Windsurfing Association, race officials, volunteers, partners and sponsors delivered an event that showcased the very best of international Raceboard competition.
