Almost 60 competitors from eleven European nations, together with a guest from the USA, have registered for the 2008 Raceboard European Championships taking place at the Sopocki Klub Zeglarski, Sopot, Poland this week.[more] The weather gods have been kind enough to provide warm sunshine and a good, if a little variable, breeze to run two good championship races on day 1. Paco Wirz from Italy took the first win but then came second to Max Wojcek from the host country in the next race.
This event is also the Raceboard Youth and Masters World Championships and Italians Marco Andreucetti and Paco Wirz took the masters’ bullets in the first two races whilst Kevin Festocq from France and Lithuanian Juozas Bernotas took firsts for the youths.
