Day two, a new day and five new races each for the Men’s and Women’s Fleets on Kizesers Lake, Latvia. Conditions were challenging with wind gusts up to 23 knots.
At the end of the day, three ladies have equal points in their battle for podium places, separated purely on their discarded result. [more] Vita Matise (LAT-1) took the first two bullets of the day, Aleksandra Blinnikka (FIN-56) took the next two bullets before Jana Slivova (CZE-26) ended the day with a final flourish coming first over the finish line.
These three sit 14 points clear of the rest of the fleet and their closest rival, Anto Dominguez (ESP-11), who took a couple of third places today.
In the men’s fleet, the top four have kept their positions overnight and some of the more heavyweight men have been able to move up the overall ranking, enjoying the stronger conditions. Maksymilian Wojtek (POL-7) has edged 2 points ahead of Aron Gadorfalvi (HUN-1) with Curro Manchon (ESP-1) holding on to his third place on the podium.
