With two of the finest beaches in Europe and over 300 days of sunshine per year, Vilamoura was the obvious choice for the Raceboard European Championships taking place from the 18th to 23rd of February this year.
That, plus the presence of the legendary Portuguese windsurfer João Rodrigues made it a great event to start of the year for the Raceboarders, who made their journey to this special sailing venue.
It does not go without mention that Vilamoura was one of the few places in the world, where sailing had not stopped during the pandemic, a true lifesaver for many of the Olympic Classes before the Tokyo Games.
For now, we have two days of racing and six races completed. Joao firmly in the lead coming first in all the sailed races.
