9 competitors from 3 nations made their way to the European Championships and although the numbers did not impress the quality of the event made it up to all.
„We are very happy to be in Vilamoura, a venue known not only for top class sailing conditions, but also for professional staff and facilities.” – said the Piotr Oleksiak IWA General Secretary.
Adding: “It does not go without mention that Vilamoura was one of the few places in the world, where sailing had not stopped during the pandemic, a true lifesaver for many of the Olympic Classes before the Tokyo Games and something Raceboarders are now taking advantage of.
Those who made their way to Portugal for the Europeans have a chance to train and compete in a month where most European venues are still far from sailable. It is a pleasure for the Raceboard Class to be here.”
