The 2026 Raceboard Masters World Championships officially got underway today in Balatonvilágos, Hungary, bringing together experienced windsurfers from around the world for one of the most anticipated Masters events of the season.

Hosted by the Hungarian Windsurfing Association on the shores of the iconic Lake Balaton, the championship runs from 1–5 June and welcomes sailors from across Europe and as far afield as Australia, highlighting the truly international appeal of the Raceboard Class. Known for its tactical racing and strong sense of community, the Raceboard Masters Worlds continues to showcase the enduring appeal of longboard windsurfing at the highest level.

Today was dedicated to registration, equipment preparation and a practice race, giving competitors their first opportunity to experience the local conditions and fine-tune their equipment ahead of the championship series. From tomorrow, the competition begins in earnest with four days of racing scheduled, including the traditional Long Distance Race, a highlight of every major Raceboard championship.

With a strong international fleet assembled and Lake Balaton ready to provide a variety of racing conditions, the stage is set for an exciting week of competition as sailors battle for the 2026 Raceboard Masters World Championship titles.
