The 2024 Raceboard World Championships in Cádiz, Spain, have seen two thrilling days of competition so far, with a total of six races completed. In good wind conditions, the fleet of almost 100 athletes from 12 countries has been able to compete at a high level.
Day two saw wind conditions ranging from 8 to 13 knots from the south-southwest, allowing the race committee to complete the full schedule. The leaders from the first day continued to perform well, with Curro Manchón from Club Náutico Sevilla extending his lead in the men’s fleet, scoring two more victories and a second place, consolidating his position at the top with 6 points.
In the women’s category, Blanca Manchón remains dominant, adding three more wins to her tally and maintaining her overall lead with 5 points. The U21 divisions have also been hotly contested, with Alejandro Selma and Eloísa Tarancón leading their respective categories.
With three more races scheduled for the next day, excitement is building as the championship continues in the beautiful Bay of Cádiz, offering a spectacular backdrop to this world-class competition.
